This Privacy Policy explains how OwlNest handles information in connection with the mobile application. It is intended to comply with applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, where applicable.

Data Stored in the App

OwlNest is designed so that user-created content — including profiles, tasks, goals, rewards, progress history and related app data — is stored primarily on the user’s device.

The developer does not operate a dedicated backend for storing this user-created content and does not have direct access to the content stored in the app by users.

iCloud Synchronization

If iCloud synchronization is enabled, app data may be synchronized and stored in the user’s personal iCloud account using Apple’s infrastructure. Such data is processed and stored by Apple on behalf of the user.

The developer does not receive or access the user’s private iCloud content.

Analytics and Diagnostics

OwlNest may use third-party analytics and diagnostics tools to collect limited information about how the app is used, such as feature interactions, screen views, app version, device or platform information, and general diagnostics or performance data.

This information is used only to improve the app’s functionality, stability, user experience, and product quality.

The developer does not intentionally use these tools to collect information that directly identifies a user by name, email address, or other directly identifying contact details.

Third-Party Service Providers

OwlNest may rely on trusted third-party service providers for analytics, diagnostics, and Apple platform services such as iCloud synchronization.

Any third-party service provider that processes app-related data is expected to provide protections that are consistent with applicable privacy and security requirements.

Where applicable under GDPR or UK GDPR, OwlNest relies on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — to provide the core functionality of the app requested by the user;

Consent or user choice — where features such as iCloud synchronization are enabled by the user.

Data Retention and Deletion

User-created content stored locally remains on the device until it is deleted by the user, the app is removed, or the data is otherwise removed through device or iCloud settings.

If iCloud synchronization is used, retention of synchronized data is subject to the user’s Apple account and Apple’s infrastructure.

Analytics and diagnostics data may be retained for a limited period by the relevant service providers in accordance with their own retention practices and only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Your Privacy Rights

If you are located in the EU, EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy rights, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability where applicable.

Because most app content is stored locally on the user’s device or in the user’s own iCloud account, many such requests can be exercised directly by the user through the app, device settings, or Apple account settings.

OwlNest is intended to be used by parents or guardians to help organize tasks, goals and rewards for children.

The developer does not knowingly collect directly identifying personal information from children.

Any content related to children within the app is created and managed by the parent or guardian using the application.

The application is provided “as is”. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain functionality, reliability and data integrity, the developer does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or absolute accuracy of the app's features or stored data.
